Game 1
HT 3-0 FT 7-0
Goals Luca 3, Zak, Freddie, Duncan, Harry
Last game of our inaugural season on the new pitch at Richmond Methodist School.
The first half action was as hot as the weather and was total domination by the boys, the one way traffic paid off with Luca opening the scoring after a great run and square ball from Freddie.
Zak got the second, pouncing after a defensive mix up from the visitors with Luca getting the third via a deflection.
The goals came from some really great passing, short corners and two touch footbal - is the training actually working ???
The second half carried on from the first - Alex had next to nothing to do in goal with Duncan and Harry clearing all the danger and setting up the attacks. Freddie continued to terrorise the left back and went on the beat 3 players before calmly slotting home, a fantastic run.
Duncan pushed forward to get himself on the scoresheet in front of his jubilant parents before Luca pounced again to seal his hat trick with another tidy finish with his trusty right peg.
To put the icing on the cake Harry popped up with a goal to seal the victory 7-0.
A fantastic finale to the season, deserved winners on the day with some great football being played - the lads did well.
Game 2
HT 3-0 FT 8-0
Goals Connor 4, Josh 4
The second game mirrored the first with hardly anything for Zak and Joe to do in either half in goal. Charles and George kept it tight at the back with Taylor putting himself about in midfield. These three deserve a special mention for their fantastic support throughout the year.
In the first half Joe was creating chances down the right and Connor did all the damage in front of goal. He scored two in the first and two in the second with some great runs/shots.
Not be be outscored, Josh also scored 4 in only his second game, he created lots of chances and was a constant threat down the left hand side.
Ross was unlucky not to open his RTFC account with a couple of efforts but the keeper did well to smother them. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise as I'm not sure Cam could have taken both of his boys scoring !!!
Another convincing victory and a great finish to a good season.
All in all it has been a fantastic first season for the lads - we couldn't have asked for any more effort from anyone, I hope they enjoyed it as much as we have ( ! ).
Roll on 2012/13 season ...
